LOCATION

3419 Olympic Parkway, Park City, UT 84098. The race will start and finish from the Olympic Ski Jump outruns. Please park in the main lot of the Utah Olympic Park and walk down to the outruns.

SAFETY

Safety is first priority for the runners at Moose on the Loose. Racing takes place primarily on dirt and while running on trails, you can expect some ruts, roots, rocks, grass, shade, mud, and other challenges. We have tried to minimize these on our selection of Moose on the Loose courses but some should be expected.

A parent/guardian is welcome to run alongside their little moose during any race for no additional fee. Adults who choose to do so must sign this waiver.

If for any reason, runners need assistance in making it back to the start/finish area, volunteers placed along the course will be able to radio to the finish area for help.

COURSE MARKING

It is of utmost importance to us that the courses are well marked and easy to follow. We utilize both signs staked into the ground, as well as colored tape to mark all courses. We will also have volunteers stationed at critical intersections.

AID STATIONS

The start/finish area will hold an aid station for the Junior Moose at the halfway as well as all the races at the finish. Our Mighty Moose & Fall 5km course will have an aid station at the bobsled start (high point of the course).

RESTROOMS

Restrooms will be available near the race start/finish area.

CANCELLATION

In the event a registered runner cannot attend, no refunds will be provided. If weather prevents the event from taking place, the event will be canceled with the POSSIBILITY of rescheduling; no refunds will be given.

Volunteer and Get a Free Race Entry!

We need volunteers on race days to make these events possible. If you or another family member over age 15 can volunteer from 7:00-10:00AM on a race day, you will get a free race entry! In addition, PCSS members will earn credit toward their work deposit for the hours volunteered. We need assistance for each race, and positions needed are course set-up and water stations, race check-in and start/finish line, and course guides.

For more information, please send an email with your name and phone number to events@parkcityss.org. We will contact you to confirm the volunteer slot(s) of interest, and also provide a discount you can use when registering for a race. Thank you for supporting Moose on the Loose!
